This was a Christmas gift for my friend Ruth, who loves baking cookies. It's a character from my film I'm animating (though she's kinda off model here)
I had lost my tablet pen! But I went to the school yesterday, and miraculously, somebody had turned it in to the lost and found! I was so relieved! Because I had a new one ordered and ready to be one-day shipped XD
So this is drawn using mostly vectored lines, because that's all I could accomplish with a mouse.
I AM ON CHRISTMAS BREAK! Which means I'm going to finish the commissions!

The Sugar Plump Fairy by ~trainerBAM: "This plump woman is so Dainty! A wonderful character design (if not delicious). It's all the little touches like the sprinkles and the cherry that make me go gaga for this piece. Personally I cant wait to see this animation. Once again, you have lost The Game.
Dreams are futile. The Game will consume you, regardless.

Yep, that's her chin, though despite what most people believe, all men AND women have adam's apples. I have no idea what inspired her. One of my guilty pleasures is drawing really fat people - can't explain why, have no idea. She just sprung up out of no where. I decided to make her the antagonist in my film, which would of course have the tooth fairy as the protagonist!

I recently wrote a journal entry about people's prefrences with body types. Seems most of the deviantart community draws a lot of thinner guys or girls, this is definately a different perspective, never even thought about adding that in. Just some more to think about.

It's always funny to see someone... more bulky, going around on tippy toes. Good job, she looks like a sweet woman! :)

Well I wouldn't say it's a preference, just a source of entertainment once in a while. My preference in terms of body types to draw is actually the "ideal", muscular, thin body type. Learning anatomy from nude models at school doesn't really encompass the rules of fat, so I usually stay away from the heavy weights. But fat figures are... amusing.... and I giggle when I doodle them in my sketchbook on occasion. I don't want anyone thinking I'm an inflationist, now! I support a healthy body weight, having worked very hard on my own figure myself. But there is a certain aesthetic to the proportions of a heavy person (if you forget the lumpy cellulite, of course).

Thats perfectly reasonable. The important part is that you don't limit yourself to one kind. At least they were kind to you in school and gave you the more athletic models...instead of having a "ton" of fun.
